Vmc Operator

Key Responsibilities

* Machine Setup & Operation: Load raw materials, mount fixtures, and align workpieces on VMC equipment (such as Fanuc or Siemens-controlled systems).

* Tooling & Offsets: Select cutting tools, install them into the spindle, and set proper work and tool offsets.

* Program Loading & Editing: Read, load, and execute G-code and M-code programs, making minor real-time edits or adjustments to feeds and speeds.

* Quality Control & Inspection: Measure finished components using precision instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to ensure they meet strict tolerances.

* Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine machine checks, maintain coolant levels, clean work areas, and report mechanical or programming faults.

* Blueprint Interpretation: Read 2D/3D technical drawings, process sheets, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) symbols.

Required Qualifications & Skills

* Education: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fitter, or Machinist trades (though some entry-level roles accept PUC or high school graduates).

* Experience: Typically ranges from 1 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or component milling environments.

* Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in G-code/M-code, controller familiarity (Fanuc, Siemens), blueprint reading, and tool selection.
