Role Description

The VMC Operator role at Mano Tools is a full-time position based on-site in Chennai. This role involves setting up and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) to manufacture parts according to production plans. Daily responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings, programming and loading VMC machines, ensuring precision and dimensional accuracy, conducting inspections of machined parts, and performing routine machine maintenance to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Experience with programming, setup, and operation of VMC machines
• Strong knowledge of machining tools, cutting speeds, and feeds for various materials
• Ability to perform quality control checks using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Skills in routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting equipment issues
• Attention to detail, precision in work, and the ability to meet production deadlines
• Understanding of safety protocols and practices in a shop floor environment
• A diploma or certification in mechanical engineering, machining, or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience in the automotive sector is an added advantage
