Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a VMC Operator located at Akshar Technology in Rajkot. The VMC Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs), interpreting technical drawings, and programming CNC machines. The role involves monitoring and inspecting workpieces for precision, performing routine maintenance of machines, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. Collaborative work with the engineering and production teams to ensure accurate and efficient manufacturing processes is also a key aspect of the role.

Qualifications
  • Experience in setting up and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) and familiarity with CNC programming
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
  • Strong attention to detail with experience in quality control, measurement tools, and precision inspection techniques
  • Understanding of manufacturing safety standards and quality processes
  • Good communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with engineers and production staff
  • Prior experience in industrial manufacturing or precision engineering is a plus
  • Certification in machining or a related technical field is preferred
