Responsibilities
CNA Digital is seeking to hire a visual journalist to be based in Bengaluru to work with its correspondents based in India including the city.
The successful candidate will be responsible for photography and videography when the correspondents are in the field.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with correspondents during assignments to produce photos and/or videos that convey the story
- Support correspondents in shooting pieces to camera, including setting up, lighting and sound.
- Editing pictures and producing clear as well as attractive videos for social media. This will be done in conjunction with a visuals editorial team based in Singapore.
- Understand social media trends and know how to produce engaging visual content.
- There may be occasional independent reporting involved.
Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in visual journalism.
- Able to operate professional camera for photography and video.
- Have the knowledge of using mobile phone or tablet for quick filming and upload direct to website.
- Proficient in video editing and able to work effectively under tight deadlines
- Ability to operate a drone is a plus.
- Proficient in English and local languages (Kannada)
