Visual Arts Teacher

As a Visual Art Teacher at Orchids International School, you will be responsible for nurturing students creativity through various forms of visual art, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and other artistic mediums. You will guide students in developing their artistic skills and prepare them for school exhibitions, cultural events, and competitions, contributing to their overall artistic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach various visual art forms including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art, based on the curriculum.
• Develop and deliver lesson plans that promote creativity, skill development, and artistic expression.
• Organize and curate school exhibitions and art shows to showcase students work.
• Assess students progress and provide constructive feedback to help them enhance their artistic abilities.
• Collaborate with other departments and staff to integrate visual art into interdisciplinary school projects.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inspiring art room environment.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in visual arts and incorporate them into teaching.
• Promote teamwork and community-building through group art projects.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports artistic exploration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Fine Arts or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Visual Art Teacher in a school or educational institution.
• Proficiency in a range of visual art techniques including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and engage students with diverse artistic interests and skill levels.
• Knowledge of art history and contemporary art trends.
• Ability to organize art exhibitions and manage art-related events.
