Role Description

The Visiting Faculty – Management Control Systems role is a full-time, on-site teaching position based in Mumbai. The faculty member will design and deliver courses in Management Control Systems, including lectures, case discussions, and experiential learning activities that align with Athena's industry-focused curriculum. Responsibilities include preparing course materials, assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, and mentoring students to develop analytical and strategic decision-making skills. The role also involves collaborating with other faculty and industry practitioners to keep course content current, participating in academic meetings, and contributing to seminars, workshops, and guest sessions that strengthen the school's industry interface.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Management Control Systems, including planning, performance measurement, budgeting, and strategic control.
• Solid foundation in management, finance, and accounting principles relevant to corporate decision-making and governance.
• Demonstrated teaching, training, or facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse learner groups using interactive methods.
• Experience applying management control concepts in corporate, consulting, or entrepreneurial settings, preferably within or related to the Indian business context.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and academic writing skills, with a learner-centric and inclusive approach.
• Master's degree or higher (e.g., MBA, MS, or PhD) in Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Commitment to ethical practices, continuous learning, and mentoring students to become responsible and effective organizational leaders.
