Role Description The Visa Counsellor will provide comprehensive guidance to clients on study, work, and tourist visa options, processes, and documentation. This full-time hybrid role is based in Nawanshahr, with some flexibility for work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing client profiles, advising on suitable countries and visa categories, preparing and reviewing application files, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely submissions. The Visa Counsellor will conduct consultations, maintain accurate records, follow up with clients on document requirements and application status, and stay updated on changing immigration policies and procedures. The role also involves supporting marketing and counseling activities, such as information sessions and seminars, to promote VisionWay's immigration and test preparation services.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of study, work, and tourist visa processes, with the ability to interpret and explain immigration rules and procedures clearly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to counsel clients professionally and build long-term relationships.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills for handling multiple client files and meeting application deadlines.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, email, online forms) and comfort working with digital documentation and CRM tools.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing documents, completing forms, and preparing visa files.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, with a proactive and client-focused mindset.
- Prior experience in immigration consulting, overseas education counseling, or a related field is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline; additional certifications in immigration, counseling, or international education are an advantage.
- Familiarity with IELTS, PTE, DUOLINGO, and other language proficiency tests is beneficial.
