Job Description
- To support the virtual commissioning projects on controls related activity for a variety of applications including hard tool welding, robotic welding and material handling, conveyer, machining and transfer systems for Vehicle operations & Power trains.
- To develop a PLC / Robot program for any VO & PTO applications by reading through the process documents.
- To support the Virtual commissioning engineer for understanding & debugging the PLC / Robot programs of any applications.
Responsibilities
- In this role the candidate will act as a network and think innovatively while executing the following responsibilities:
- Understands customer specifications and standards for use in developing simulated hardware components and systems.
- Researches, develops, and customizes new hardware and software interfaces.
- Must be capable of developing simulated system structure and components from scratch.
- Coordinate and review with Virtual Commissioning engineer, Controls Technical Leaders, and colleagues to maintain consistency within a given project.
- Review Electrical drawing, hardware schematics and software programs for implementation into a simulated environment.
- Develop and/or modify PLC programs with any specific Programming language LAD, STL, SCL etc.
- Develop and/or modify Robot programs with any robot specific Programming language.
- Works within the scope definition and timing (due date) requirements.
- Supports virtual commissioning and debugging for intermediate to complex machine applications.
- Use Ford GVOSS Standard controls & automation check list to validate the concepts and deliver the PLC, HMI program for implementation
- Prepare regular work reports & other Presentations required

Qualifications
Bachelor's in engineering or equivalent
(Mechatronics / Electrical/Instrumentation/Electronics /Industrial/Manufacturing/Automobile)
