The Business Implementation Lead plays a critical role in the successful implementation and optimization of OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) and in driving best-in-class I2P process design and execution globally. This role bridges technical capabilities with business process expertise, ensuring seamless end-to-end integration of the I2P process within our enterprise systems landscape.
You will serve as the key liaison between functional teams, project stakeholders, and technology partners, playing a pivotal role in process design, system configuration, change management, and global rollout strategies.
Responsibilities
- Create and promote a vision for FME's global I2P processes by leveraging industry best practices and technologies.
- Drive the successful execution of the OpenText VIM implementation program, including developing and managing a comprehensive roadmap.
- Ensure consistent communication and program visibility across stakeholders.
- Track progress, manage budgets, and report status to senior management and stakeholders. Proactively identify risks and issues, lead corrective actions, and recalibrate timelines to ensure objectives are met within scope.
- Act as the central point of contact, facilitating cross-functional collaboration among finance, IT, procurement, leadership teams, and third-party partners, while defining project vision.
- Lead requirements-gathering and blueprinting sessionsidentifying gaps, creating business process models, and defining workflows such as approval routing and exception handling.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and partner with technical teams on custom developments, debugging, and performance enhancements.
- Oversee configuration and integration activities (including S/4HANA interfaces) and guide testing, training, and go-live efforts.
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of detailed documentation including configuration guides, process flows, and training materials.
- Facilitate the transition to operational support, overseeing system stabilization, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related field. Certifications in SAP VIM or S/4HANA Finance are an advantage.
- Over 7 years of progressive experience in Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Invoice-to-Pay (I2P), and Accounts Payable operations, with a proven track record of driving operational efficiency and process excellence.
- Deep expertise in SAP Accounts Payable processes and system integration, with hands-on experience overseeing custom developments and functional enhancements tailored to business needs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the end-to-end I2P lifecycle, including invoice processing, PO/non-PO matching, exception resolution, compliance adherence, and payment execution.
- Demonstrated success in global process management and transformation roles, bringing a strategic and scalable approach to process design and optimization.
- Experience leading successful implementations of OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) and similar workflow automation solutions such as Basware and ReadSoft, improving AP automation and reducing manual touchpoints.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA and its integration with OpenText VIM, enabling a robust and future-ready AP ecosystem.
- Recognized for excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, and change management capabilities, effectively bridging the gap between technical teams and business users.
