Role Overview
We need a highly skilled videographer and video editor who can plan, shoot and edit a variety of formats, including short-form clips (Reels, Shorts), long-form content (podcasts, interviews, vlogs) and professional photoshoots. You'll be responsible for bringing stories to life across platforms and ensuring each piece aligns with our healing-focused brand.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Shooting
- Film high-quality videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube, podcasts and vlogs.
- Capture on-site footage of classes, workshops, healing sessions and community events with proper lighting, framing and audio.
- Conduct professional photoshoots when required and retouch images for digital use.
Editing & Post-Production
- Edit engaging short-form videos with trending, brand-aligned styles.
- Cut and polish long-form content such as podcasts and interviews.
- Add graphics, effects, transitions and sound design to enhance storytelling.
- Perform colour grading and sound mixing to professional standards.
- Create simple motion graphics/animations to support concepts.
Creative Direction
- Work closely with our marketing and teaching teams to conceptualise video ideas that align with our mission.
- Stay ahead of social media trends, editing techniques and platform best practices.
- Develop storyboards or shot lists that reflect both Healing Circles ethos and market trends.
Content Adaptation & Collaboration
- Adapt videos for multiple platforms and formats, working with the social media team to optimise content.
- Maintain organised file structures and manage digital assets for easy retrieval and repurposing.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve filming processes, always thinking 10 steps ahead.
Skills & Requirements
- Experience & Portfolio Proven experience as a videographer/editor with a portfolio showcasing both short-form (Reels/Shorts) and long-form work (podcasts, vlogs, interviews).
- Technical Proficiency Mastery of editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, CapCut and Photoshop/Lightroom.
- Podcast Expertise Experience setting up, shooting and editing podcasts, including multi-camera and audio setups.
- Production Skills Ability to handle lighting, camera equipment and sound recording on professional shoots.
- Creative Eye Strong sense of storytelling, composition and visual aesthetics.
- Social Savvy Solid understanding of how content is consumed on Instagram, YouTube and emerging platforms.
- Self-Starter Able to work independently, manage end-to-end production and meet deadlines.
- Post-Production Knowledge Familiarity with colour grading, sound mixing and motion graphics/animations.
Nice to Have
- Interest in holistic healing or personal development (experience filming meditation, wellness or education content is a plus).
- Ability to travel occasionally for on-location shoots.
- Familiarity with additional creative tools (e.g., Final Cut plugins, Canva, AI-driven editing tools).
- Experience collaborating with founders or senior stakeholders and taking initiative in content ideation.
