About the role:

We're looking for a fast, instinctive, and culturally aware Videographer and Editor who can also shoot dynamic run-and-gun content across our cafés, launches, events, kitchens, and people.

This role is for someone who understands pacing, atmosphere, storytelling, music, and internet culture — not just someone who cuts clips together. You should be comfortable moving between cinematic edits, fast-paced reels, documentary-style moments, and spontaneous handheld shooting.

You'll work closely with the creative and brand team to shape the visual language of Ate and associated ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

Editing

• Edit high-quality short-form and long-form content for:
• Instagram Reels
• Campaign videos
• Launch films
• Event recaps
• Founder-led content
• Interviews & documentary-style storytelling
• Work efficiently on Adobe Premiere Pro with quick turnaround times
• Handle sound design, pacing, transitions, typography, and music synchronization
• Colour correct and grade footage to maintain brand consistency
• Organize and maintain media libraries and project files

Videography

• Shoot run-and-gun content across cafés, kitchens, pop-ups, construction sites, and events
• Capture spontaneous, authentic moments with minimal setup
• Operate handheld, gimbal, and basic lighting setups confidently
• Understand framing, movement, and natural lighting
• Adapt quickly in live environments without disrupting operations

Creative Contribution

• Contribute ideas for content direction, visual storytelling, and social trends
• Understand evolving internet aesthetics, music culture, fashion, hospitality, and youth media
• Assist in building a distinctive visual identity across all platforms

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is mandatory
• Strong understanding of cinematic editing and social-first content
• Experience with run-and-gun videography
• Good understanding of cameras, lenses, audio, and lighting
• Ability to work fast under deadlines without compromising quality
• Strong sense of rhythm, pacing, and visual storytelling
• Familiarity with After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or Photoshop is a plus
• Prior experience in hospitality, fashion, lifestyle, or culture-led brands is preferred
