Video Editor YouTube (Tamil)

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor with 2–4 years of professional experience in editing YouTube and digital content.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of YouTube storytelling, audience retention, pacing, and visual engagement, along with hands-on experience editing both long-form and short-form content.

Fluency in Tamil is mandatory, including the ability to read, write, and speak Tamil, as the role involves editing and reviewing Tamil-language content.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit engaging YouTube videos, Shorts, Reels, and promotional content.
• Create compelling storytelling through editing, pacing, transitions, motion graphics, and sound design.
• Apply editing techniques that improve audience engagement and retention.
• Work closely with content creators, scriptwriters, and production teams to understand creative requirements.
• Add subtitles, captions, graphics, animations, visual effects, and other post-production elements.
• Review Tamil-language content to ensure accuracy, context, and appropriate visual treatment.
• Deliver high-quality videos within agreed timelines.
• Maintain consistency with the brand's visual style and content guidelines.
• Organize and manage raw footage, project files, graphics, audio, and other video assets efficiently.
• Adapt editing styles based on different YouTube formats, content categories, and audience requirements.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional video editing experience, preferably with YouTube or digital content.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Adobe After Effects. Experience with Final Cut Pro or similar tools is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of YouTube content formats, pacing, storytelling, and audience retention.
• Previous experience editing Tamil-language content.
• Fluent Tamil – Read, Write, and Speak (Mandatory).
• Strong attention to detail and visual storytelling skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with content and production teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• A strong portfolio showcasing YouTube, social media, or digital video editing work is required.

Good to Have

• Experience working with YouTube creators, digital media companies, or content production houses.
• Knowledge of YouTube SEO and content optimization.
• Understanding of audience retention metrics and how editing can influence viewer engagement.
• Basic thumbnail design and motion graphics skills.
