Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Mohpa. The Video Editor will manage the end-to-end post-production process, including ingesting footage, organizing assets, and editing video content for web, social media, marketing campaigns, and product showcases. Responsibilities include trimming and assembling clips, adding transitions, graphics, sound effects, and music, and ensuring consistent branding and visual style across all outputs. The role involves close collaboration with designers, content creators, and marketing staff to translate creative briefs into polished, engaging video stories aligned with client objectives. The Video Editor will also optimize videos for various platforms and formats, maintain organized project files, and contribute ideas to improve visual storytelling and production workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong video editing skills using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and familiarity with different aspect ratios and codecs.
- Experience with motion graphics and visual effects using tools such as Adobe After Effects, plus basic skills in color correction and grading.
- Sound design abilities, including audio cleanup, mixing, and syncing dialogue, music, and effects for clear, balanced final outputs.
- Understanding of digital content and marketing needs, including editing for social media, websites, and advertising campaigns.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and storyboards, with a strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual composition.
- Good organizational skills for managing media files, version control, and structured project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and incorporate constructive feedback.
- Prior experience in a studio, agency, or production environment; portfolio or showreel demonstrating diverse video work is required.
- Relevant education in film, media, design, communication, or a related field is beneficial, though equivalent practical experience is also valued.
