Job overview

We are seeking an experienced video editor to join our film production company. You will collaborate with our post-production team to transform raw material into a high-quality final product. You'll be responsible for creating storyboards, producing short-form and long-form content, creating and adding graphics and animations, and adding music and special effects. A successful candidate will need to be able to work under deadlines, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with other production team members.

Responsibilities

A video editor with our company will have multiple responsibilities:

●     Edit video content for multiple channels, including social media, YouTube, Trade shows, and webinars.

●     Evaluate raw footage and review shot lists and storyboards

●     Use software to enhance video footage

●     Identify ways to improve and enhance footage

●     Implement effective storytelling techniques

●     Suggest and implement appropriate special effects and music additions

●     Keeping up to date with the latest trends

Our ideal video editor will have the following skills and qualifications:

●     A bachelor's degree in film studies, production, video editing, visual effects, cinematography, graphic design, or a related field

●     Relevant work experience of 3-4 years focusing on the pre- & post-production process

●     Proficiency with video editing software, including Adobe Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, and Avid Media Composer

●     An advanced understanding of sound effects and special effects

●     Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

●     Critical thinking and problem-solving talents

●     Communication skills that allow the editor to collaborate with other video production team members

●     Experience with digital video editing and motion graphics

●     Experience with video generating AI tools
