Role Description

This is a full-time, remote Video Editor role. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for producing and editing engaging video content, performing color grading, and creating motion graphics to align with our mission. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality visuals are delivered for educational purposes. Your tasks will also include contributing creative input to enhance our video production and ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.

Responsibilities

As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for:

• Editing short-form videos such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn clips
• Editing long-form YouTube videos and educational/career-related content
• Cutting raw footage into clean, structured videos
• Removing pauses, mistakes, filler words, and unnecessary gaps
• Adding captions/subtitles where required
• Adding basic text highlights, zoom-ins, transitions, background music, and sound effects
• Improving pacing and viewer retention
• Syncing audio and video properly
• Formatting videos for different platforms
• Following editing references shared by the team
• Making revisions based on feedback
• Submitting edited files on time in the required format

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

• Has basic experience in video editing
• Can edit both short-form and long-form videos
• Knows any editing tool such as Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Filmora, or similar
• Can add clean captions/subtitles
• Has a basic understanding of social media video formats
• Can follow references and instructions properly
• Is comfortable working remotely
• Communicates clearly and gives timely updates
• Has their own laptop/system and stable internet connection
• Is willing to learn, take feedback, and improve quickly

Good to Have

• Experience editing YouTube videos
• Experience editing Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts
• Basic motion graphics/text animation skills
• Canva knowledge
• Thumbnail/basic design skills
• Understanding of education, coding, jobs, or career content
