We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join The Better India's Brand Video Team. The role involves editing emotionally engaging branded documentaries and high-performing short-form social content for leading brands, foundations, and impact-driven campaigns.
The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of storytelling, pacing, design, and social-first editing, with the ability to work across both long-form narrative pieces and fast-turnaround digital content.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit branded documentary-style films (3–6 mins) with a strong focus on narrative storytelling, emotional arcs, pacing, and visual treatment.
- Create engaging short-form vertical videos (up to 2 mins) optimized for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms.
- Design and execute basic to intermediate 2D motion graphics, animated explainers, supers, transitions, and typography animations.
- Collaborate closely with producers, directors, writers, and brand teams to deliver high-quality videos aligned with campaign objectives and timelines.

- Strong understanding of social media formats, pacing, and audience behavior
- Good sense of music, sound design, typography, and visual storytelling
- Ability to manage multiple edits and feedback rounds efficiently

- Quality of storytelling, visual polish, and overall audience engagement across formats.
- Efficiency in handling revisions and incorporating stakeholder feedback.
- Performance of edited content across digital platforms (views, retention, engagement, completion rates, etc.).
