Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Video Editor who understands what makes people stop scrolling. This role goes beyond editing, and you should know hooks, storytelling, video strategy, and trends, and be able to suggest high-performing video ideas tailored to each brand.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs)
- Edit short-form and long-form videos for social media platforms
- Craft strong hooks within the first 35 seconds of videos
- Develop video structures focused on retention and engagement
- Suggest trend-based and brand-relevant video ideas
- Collaborate with account managers, content creators, and designers
- Adapt content styles based on platforms (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Ensure videos align with brand tone, audience, and goals
- Stay updated with editing styles, transitions, effects, and trends
- Maintain consistent quality, pacing, and storytelling
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong command over video editing tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
- Clear understanding of hooks, pacing, and storytelling
- Experience editing Reels, Shorts, Ads, and social-first content
- Ability to think strategically about video performance, not just visuals
- Knowledge of trending formats, sounds, memes, and creator styles
- Someone who can suggest ideas, not just wait for briefs
- A creator who understands why a video works
