Role Description This is a part-time, remote Video Editor role focused on creating and refining video content for social media, marketing campaigns, and brand storytelling. Day-to-day responsibilities include editing raw footage into polished videos, selecting music and sound effects, applying transitions, and ensuring pacing and narrative clarity. The Video Editor will perform color grading to maintain visual consistency, incorporate motion graphics and titles, and adapt content for various platforms and formats (e.g., short-form reels, ads, and website videos). The role also involves collaborating with creative and marketing team members to align videos with brand guidelines, reviewing feedback, and making timely revisions. The Video Editor is expected to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain organized file and asset libraries.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing to handle end-to-end editing workflows.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent and appealing visual styles across projects.
- Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create engaging titles, overlays, and visual elements.
- Proficiency with industry-standard video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve) and motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects) is beneficial.
- Strong storytelling abilities, attention to detail, and an understanding of social media and digital marketing trends are beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly with distributed teams, and manage time effectively is beneficial.
- Relevant education or training in film, media, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is beneficial.
