We're looking for a skilled Video Editor who understands how to turn raw footage into engaging, scroll-stopping content that aligns with brand goals and audience behavior.

This role is ideal for someone who can work fast, think creatively, and maintain quality while handling high-volume, performance-driven content.

As a Video Editor at SMEClabs, you will play a key role in shaping our digital presence across Instagram, YouTube, Meta ads, and internal campaigns. You'll work closely with content creators, designers, and the marketing team to deliver videos that inform, inspire, and convert.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos (Reels, Shorts) and long-form content (YouTube, interviews, testimonials)
• Create engaging edits for brand videos, ad creatives, and campaign content
• Ensure strong hooks, pacing, transitions, and audio sync
• Add subtitles, motion elements, and visual enhancements where required
• Maintain consistency with SMEClabs brand tone and visual identity
• Collaborate with content creators, DOPs, and the marketing team
• Deliver edits within timelines while maintaining quality standards
• Adapt edits based on feedback and performance insights

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Video Editor (agency, brand, or digital media preferred)
• Strong command over tools like Premiere Pro / Final Cut / DaVinci Resolve
• Good understanding of social media content formats and audience retention
• Ability to work on tight deadlines with minimal supervision
• Strong sense of storytelling, rhythm, and visual flow

Good to Have

• Experience editing for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Ads
• Familiarity with edtech or content-driven brands
• Understanding of performance-driven content (CTR, retention, hooks)
