We are looking for a highly creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team. In this role, you will transform long-form podcast and video content into engaging, high-retention short videos (Reels, Shorts) that elevate brand visibility and strengthen audience engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze raw long-form podcast and video footage to identify the most impactful, engaging, and viral-worthy moments.
- Cut, trim, and assemble short clips (1560 seconds) into compelling, narrative-driven micro-content.
- Add dynamic visual elements, including animated subtitles/captions, motion graphics, emojis, transitions, and relevant B-roll to enhance viewer retention.
- Improve audio quality by balancing levels, removing background noise, and integrating appropriate royalty-free music.
- Format and optimize videos for vertical (9:16) aspect ratios tailored to platforms such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
- Stay current with social media trends, trending audio, editing styles, and platform best practices to ensure content feels fresh and competitive.
- Collaborate with the content and creative teams to align edits with the broader content strategy and scheduled releases.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional video editing experience, with a proven portfolio emphasizing short-form content.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or advanced mobile editors like CapCut and InShot.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling and the ability to create hooks within the first few seconds.
- Solid knowledge of color grading, audio enhancement, sound design, and export settings optimized for social platforms.
- Ability to work efficiently, manage multiple projects, and deliver high-quality content under tight deadlines.
