Job Description

Company Description Canvas & Co. is a growth-focused marketing firm specializing in content marketing, go-to-market (GTM) strategies, and data-driven growth initiatives. The team blends creative storytelling with strategic insights to help brands scale efficiently and sustainably. Canvas & Co. partners with clients across industries to develop content and campaigns that drive measurable results. The company values collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement in all aspects of marketing and growth.

Role Description As a Video Editor for Podcasts (Freelance) at Canvas & Co., you will edit podcast video and audio files into polished, engaging episodes for digital distribution. You will handle tasks such as trimming and assembling footage, cleaning audio, adding graphics, captions, and simple motion elements, and ensuring consistent branding across episodes. You will collaborate closely with producers, hosts, and marketers to align each episode with content and campaign goals, and prepare final files optimized for platforms such as YouTube, social media, and podcast hosting services. This is a contract role and is fully remote, requiring reliable communication, timely delivery of projects, and the ability to manage multiple assignments.

Qualifications

  • Strong video editing skills using industry-standard tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and experience editing podcast or long-form conversational content.
  • Audio editing and post-production skills, including noise reduction, mixing, leveling, and enhancing speech clarity for podcast-quality sound.
  • Basic motion graphics and visual design abilities, such as adding lower-thirds, transitions, title cards, and branded elements that support marketing objectives.
  • Content and marketing awareness, including understanding audience engagement, social media formats, and best practices for video distribution on platforms like YouTube and LinkedIn.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote contract setting.
  • Clear communication and collaboration abilities, including receiving and implementing feedback from producers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Previous freelance or agency experience working with marketing or content teams is preferred; familiarity with growth-focused or GTM-driven campaigns is a plus.
  • Relevant experience or education in film, media production, communications, or a related field is beneficial, though equivalent practical experience is also valued.
