Role Description The Video Editor role at Next Steps is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. This role is responsible for editing and assembling educational video content, including lectures, tutorials, and promotional materials, into clear and engaging final products. Day-to-day tasks include organizing raw footage, trimming and sequencing clips, adding graphics and motion elements, syncing audio, and performing color correction to maintain visual consistency and quality. The Video Editor will collaborate closely with instructors, content creators, and the marketing team to understand project objectives and ensure videos align with brand guidelines and educational goals. The role also involves managing video files, maintaining an organized media library, and delivering projects within agreed timelines.
Qualifications
- Video Editing work experience should be 0-1 years.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Production and Video Editing for creating polished, educational and promotional content.
- Candidates should possess Video Color Grading skills to ensure visual consistency and enhance the overall look and feel of videos.
- Candidates should possess Motion Graphics and Graphics skills to create engaging visual elements, titles, and animations.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).
- Strong attention to detail, visual storytelling ability, and an understanding of pacing and audience engagement in educational content.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, accept feedback constructively, and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Relevant experience in educational, e-learning, or training-focused video projects is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in film, media, communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in video editing.
