Job Title: Video Editor & Motion Graphics Specialist

AI Video + Reels + Campus Content

For ASBS MBA, this person should be 70% editor / motion graphics creator, 20% AI video creator, and 10% basic shooter.

Why the Requirement Has Changed

Today's video marketing is moving towards short-form, vertical, fast-cut, high-retention content. HubSpot's 2026 marketing data says short-form video is among the top ROI-driving formats, and nearly 75% of marketers are using AI for media creation, including video and images. Wyzowl's 2026 report also says 63% of video marketers have already used AI tools to create or edit marketing videos.

For ASBS MBA, this means the candidate must know how to create videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Meta Ads, WhatsApp nurturing, LinkedIn, induction videos, testimonial reels, placement proof videos, and admission campaign edits.

Google's Shorts ad guidance also clearly prioritizes vertical 9:16 video assets for Shorts placements, which makes vertical-first editing important.

Role Summary

We are looking for a Video Editor & Motion Graphics Specialist for ASBS MBA who can shoot basic campus/interview footage, but whose main strength is editing high-quality reels, ad videos, student testimonial videos, motion graphics videos, and AI-assisted video content.

The person should be able to convert raw footage, campaign ideas, placement data, student stories, and admission messages into strong video content that works on social media and lead nurturing platforms.

Core Responsibilities

1. Video Editing

The candidate should be able to edit:

  • Instagram Reels
  • YouTube Shorts
  • Meta ad videos
  • LinkedIn videos
  • WhatsApp lead nurturing videos
  • Student testimonial videos
  • Faculty/expert videos
  • Campus event videos
  • Placement proof videos
  • Counsellor-led admission videos
  • Motion graphic explainers

The person should understand hook, pacing, cuts, captions, music, transitions, thumbnail frame, CTA, and retention.

2. Motion Graphics

This is now a must-have.

The candidate should be able to create:

  • Animated typography
  • Lower thirds
  • Logo animations
  • Data animations
  • Placement number animations
  • Recruiter logo animations
  • Career pathway animations
  • Before/after comparison videos
  • Animated charts and icons
  • Reel-style kinetic text

Adobe After Effects remains an industry-standard tool for motion design, animated text, graphics, illustrations, and visual effects.

3. AI Video Creation

The candidate should know how to use AI tools for faster production.

They should be able to create:

  • AI-generated B-roll
  • Image-to-video clips
  • Finance background motion videos
  • Campus-style concept videos
  • Career pathway visualizations
  • Animated student journey videos
  • Storyboard-to-video experiments
  • AI-assisted ad variations

Current AI video tools are moving towards more controlled, reference-based video generation.
