Picmatic Creative & Digital Marketing Agency is looking for a Video Editor / Motion Graphics Designer to join our creative team. This role is ideal for someone who understands short-form content psychology, storytelling, and social media-driven editing, and can transform raw footage into engaging, high-retention digital content.
The candidate will work on Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, podcast videos, and branded social media content, ensuring each video is optimized for performance, clarity, and audience engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form videos for Instagram, YouTube, and other social platforms
- Create podcast video edits with clear narrative flow and strong hooks
- Design and animate subtitles, lower thirds, motion text, and visual elements
- Apply transitions, effects, and pacing techniques to increase viewer retention
- Optimize video formats, aspect ratios, and lengths for different platforms
- Collaborate with content strategists, designers, and social media managers
- Ensure brand consistency and quality across all video content
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 13 years of professional experience in video editing or motion graphics
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics
- Strong understanding of short-form content trends and formats
- Experience creating subtitles and animated text for social media
- Good sense of timing, pacing, and visual storytelling
- Ability to take feedback and iterate quickly
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience editing podcasts, interviews, or explainer-style videos
- Understanding of Instagram and YouTube algorithms
- Basic knowledge of graphic design or thumbnail creation
- Familiarity with content analytics and engagement metrics
