Preproute is an EdTech startup incubated at the Udhmodya Foundation, Startup Ecosystem of University of Delhi, dedicated to transforming CUET (UG) preparation and simplifying the college admission process for students across India.

Location: University of Delhi, North Campus, Delhi – 110007

Work Mode: Hybrid

Remote: Open only for candidates with outstanding work quality

Stipend: ₹6,000 - ₹10,000 per month

Final stipend will depend on work quality, experience, deliverable standards, ideation, innovation and execution speed.

Role Description

Preproute is looking for a creative and fast-learning Video Editor Intern who can transform raw video content into engaging, high-retention short-form and long-form videos.

The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of storytelling, pacing, captions, visual hooks, transitions, and social media-friendly editing. We are especially looking for someone who can understand educational and student-focused content and present it in a catchy, clean, and engaging way.

Qualifications

• Experience in video editing for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and long-form YouTube videos.
• Ability to convert long YouTube videos into multiple engaging short-form reels with strong hooks, clean cuts, captions, and retention-focused editing.
• Skilled in editing raw anchoring videos for both long-form and short-form content.
• Ability to add captions, supporting visuals, transitions, zoom-ins, sound effects, overlays and other engaging elements wherever required.
• Good understanding of pacing, storytelling, visual flow and social media content trends.
• Basic knowledge of how to make educational or informative content visually engaging and easy to understand.
• Hands-on experience with editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, After Effects or similar software.
• Creative mindset with the ability to ideate, innovate, and improve raw content through editing and presentation.
• Ability to work with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail while maintaining high-quality output.
• Open to feedback, revisions, and quick execution of deliverables.

Preferred

• Candidates who can visit the office at University of Delhi, North Campus for videography, raw video shoots and shoot planning.
• Ability to guide or suggest camera angles, cuts, framing and shot flow to make the final video more catchy and engaging.
• Prior experience in editing student-focused, education-based, explainer, podcast, interview, or social media content will be an added advantage.

A strong portfolio or sample work is mandatory for evaluation.
