Role Overview
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Video Editor & Production Specialist to join our team on-site in Pune. In this hybrid production-and-post role, you will take concepts from raw shoot to polished export—handling studio camera and lighting setups, assembling compelling edits, and elevating footage with motion design, balanced sound engineering, and cinematic color grading.
Key Responsibilities
Post-Production & Editing
- Execute end-to-end video editing: assembly cuts, pacing, rough cuts, fine cuts, and final deliverables.
- Manage timelines efficiently, ensuring seamless audio-video sync, pacing, and visual continuity.
- Design and implement on-brand motion graphics, kinetic typography, lower thirds, title cards, and animated overlays.
- Perform color correction and creative grading across varied cameras and lighting profiles to maintain visual consistency.
- Handle sound engineering and audio post-production: dialogue cleanup, noise reduction, sound effects (SFX), leveling, and final master mix.
- Format and optimize edits for multiple platforms, including long-form horizontal content (YouTube, web) and fast-paced vertical formats (Reels, Shorts, TikTok).
Production & Studio Operations
- Operate video cameras on-site, framing shots with an eye for composition, framing rules, and depth.
- Set up and balance studio lighting (three-point lighting, key/fill ratios, ambient control) to match production style.
- Ingest, log, tag, and securely back up raw production footage across project drives.
Collaboration & Workflow
- Collaborate closely with content strategists, graphic designers, and marketing teams to align visual tone with project goals.
- Maintain rigorous organization across project directories, project files, and shared digital asset libraries.
- Manage revision cycles effectively, meeting turnaround times without compromising output quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Core Post-Production: Proven proficiency in NLE workflows (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro) and Motion Design (Adobe After Effects).
- Graphic Design Foundations: Solid grasp of design theory—visual hierarchy, typography, negative space, and color harmony (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Audio Engineering: Hands-on knowledge of audio cleaning, EQ, compression, track routing, and mixing (Audition, Fairlight, or equivalent).
- Color Grading: Strong understanding of color spaces, LUTs, waveforms, vectorscopes, and shot-matching.
- Production Literacy: Practical experience setting up studio lighting fixtures, microphones (lavs, shotguns), and operating mirrorless/cinema camera systems.
- Format Fluency: Deep familiarity with current pacing trends, retention hooks, and dynamic storytelling styles across social media and digital platforms.
- Soft Skills: Clear communication, receptiveness to creative direction, and strong task-prioritization skills under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- A portfolio or showreel showcasing storytelling range, dynamic cuts, motion graphics, and audio/color work.
- Prior experience managing multi-cam edits and high-volume asset archives.
