About the Role
We are a fast-growing, small creative team (4 people) looking for a powerhouse Documentary Video Editor to join us from the ground up. If you live and breathe digital culture, understand why a video goes viral in the United States and Globally, and can tell a compelling story through a lens of trending topics, we want you.
This isn't just about cutting footage. We are looking for a storyteller who understands pacing, hook-based editing, and high-level visual aesthetics. You will have immense creative freedom and will be a core pillar of our production house.
What You'll Do
- Trend-Driven Editing: Edit high-quality documentary-style videos tailored for US and international audiences.
- End-to-End Post-Production: Take raw footage/assets and handle everything from the rough cut to the final polished product.
- Motion Graphics: Create engaging titles, transitions, and data visualizations that keep viewers hooked.
- Collaborate: Work directly with a small team of creators to brainstorm concepts and execute vision quickly.
Skills Required
- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Motion Graphics, GEOLayer3, Map Animation, Final Cut Pro or similar tools.
- Visual Flair: Strong eye for color, composition, and modern YouTube/Documentary pacing.
- Sound Design: Ability to use SFX and music to build tension and emotion.
Who You Are
- Experienced: You have at least 3+ year of professional editing experience (freelance experience is welcomed).
- Trend-Savvy: You stay awake to what's trending in the United States and globally. You understand the algorithm and what makes people watch until the end.
- Agile: You enjoy the start-up energy of a small team and are comfortable being a founding member.
- Portfolio-First: You have a killer portfolio that proves you can handle documentary-style storytelling.
- The team works 6 days a week, for first 3 months Saturdays being working days.
