Storytelling & Creative Execution
- Translate briefs, scripts, and footage into engaging visual narratives aligned with brand tone and campaign objectives.
- Structure edits using story arcs, pacing, emotional layering, and visual continuity.
- Deliver content across formats: brand films, marketing assets, explainers, interviews, social-first, and corporate communication videos.
- Enhance storytelling through transitions, sound design, music, montage structuring, and editing techniques.
AI-Enabled Editing & Efficiency
- Use AI tools for rough cuts, transcript-based editing, auto-captioning, scene detection, and versioning.
- Apply AI for color matching, audio cleanup, noise reduction, and visual enhancement.
- Accelerate production through automated workflows, templates, and smart asset tagging.
- Generate platform-specific versions (social, web, internal) using AI-assisted resizing, localization, and optimization.
Post-Production & Workflow Ownership
- Manage full post-production lifecycle: ingest sync edit finishing delivery.
- Maintain structured project organization, asset libraries, and version control.
- Optimize workflows using proxies, multicam, dynamic linking, and collaborative review tools.
- Ensure timely delivery with efficient feedback loops and revisions.
Technical Editing Expertise
Video Fundamentals
- Frame rates, motion, aspect ratios, and resolution pipelines (HD8K).
- Log/RAW workflows and exposure management.
Codecs & Compression
- ProRes, DNxHD/HR, H.264, H.265; bitrate optimization for web and broadcast.
Color & Finishing
- Correction vs grading, LUTs, exposure balance, HDR/Rec.709 fundamentals.
Audio & Motion Integration
- Dialogue cleanup, EQ, sync accuracy, sound design.
- Motion graphics integration, typography, compositing, tracking, and overlays.
Performance-Led Editing
- Optimize for retention, engagement, and conversion.
- Edit for social-first formats and marketing funnels.
- Use analytics and A/B insights to refine creative outputs.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Translate creative briefs into technical execution plans.
- Align edits with brand strategy, campaign goals, and platform requirements.
- Deliver platform-ready outputs across web, social, mobile, and internal channels.
Tools & Technology
Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro (mandatory), DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro
Motion: Adobe After Effects (intermediate)
Support: Media Encoder, Audition, Frame.io (or similar), asset/project management tools
AI Tools: Transcript editing, auto-captioning, generative enhancements, automated resizing/versioning, AI color/audio tools
Experience & Skills
- 45 years of professional video editing experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro; working knowledge of After Effects and Resolve.
- Strong grasp of codecs, frame rates, compression, and delivery formats.
- Storytelling, composition, and strong visual judgment.
- Ability to translate abstract ideas into impactful visual narratives.
- High ownership, attention to detail, and multi-project management capability.
- Openness to feedback and iterative improvement.
- Motion graphics, animation, or VFX exposure.
- Experience with social-first formats (Reels, Shorts, YouTube, LinkedIn).
- Familiarity with video analytics, experimentation, and performance optimization.
- Background in agency, digital marketing, or content-driven environments.
