Roles and Responsibilities
- Edit and deliver high-quality video content from concept stage to final output.
- Create engaging video content using DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and relevant supporting tools.
- Edit story-driven and creative video content with strong focus on pacing, continuity, visual storytelling, and audience engagement.
- Review raw footage, animatic outputs, cinematic renders, voice-over files, music, sound effects, and graphics to create polished final videos.
- Ensure the edit follows the intended narrative flow, emotional tone, and visual treatment of the project.
- Sync visuals accurately with voice-over, dialogues, narration, music, sound effects, and timing references.
- Handle animatic edits, cinematic edits, correction passes, and final delivery edits as required by the production pipeline.
- Perform color correction, basic grading, audio enhancement, transitions, titling, subtitles, and final rendering.
- Add and refine text overlays, lower-thirds, callouts, visual cues, and on-screen graphics where required.
- Maintain consistency in visual style, edit rhythm, audio levels, typography, transitions, motion graphics, and export quality across all deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with creative leads, animatic artists, storyboard artists, 3D/cinematic teams, production coordinators, and QA teams.
- Incorporate feedback from internal reviews, creative lead reviews, client reviews, and QA checks in a structured and timely manner.
- Manage multiple edits in parallel while tracking versioning, corrections, approval status, and delivery deadlines.
- Organize project files, footage, audio, graphics, renders, exports, and source assets in a clean and traceable folder structure.
- Ensure every output is delivered in the required format, resolution, naming convention, aspect ratio, codec, and platform specification.
- Check all final videos for technical issues including black frames, audio mismatch, spelling errors, sync issues, incorrect cuts, missing assets, render glitches, and export errors.
- Maintain project timelines and support production planning by giving realistic edit effort estimates and delivery updates.
- Support social media cutdowns, trailers, promos, shorts, and alternate-format edits when required.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of motion graphics, basic compositing, visual effects workflows, and animation principles using Adobe After Effects.
- Stay updated with editing workflows, AI-assisted editing tools, sound cleanup tools, subtitle tools, motion graphics trends, and emerging creative techniques.
- Take ownership of edit quality from first assembly to final approved delivery.
Language Proficiency:
- Hindi language proficiency is strongly preferred.
- Ability to review, understand, and work with Hindi scripts, voice-overs, subtitles, on-screen text, and dialogue-based content is preferred.
- Ability to identify and flag basic Hindi language, spelling, subtitle, and synchronization issues during the editing and quality-check process is an advantage.
