The Role

As a Video Editor at Creatardo, you'll primarily create short-form, social-first video content for multiple brands.

This isn't just a role for someone who knows editing software.

We're looking for someone who understands attention, storytelling, pacing and retention.

You'll collaborate with our strategy and content team to take videos from raw footage to scroll-stopping final edits.

Responsibilities

• Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, ads and other short-form content

• Create engaging hooks and maintain strong pacing throughout videos

• Add subtitles, typography, transitions, graphics, B-roll and sound design

• Edit founder-led, educational, promotional and trend-based content

• Adapt editing styles according to different client identities and audiences

• Repurpose long-form footage into engaging short-form content

• Stay updated with editing styles, social trends and platform formats

• Use AI-powered tools where relevant to improve speed and creative output

• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of relevant video editing experience

• Strong portfolio/showreel showcasing short-form content

• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent software

• Strong understanding of social-media-first editing

• Good visual judgement, typography and sound selection

• Understanding of hooks, storytelling and audience retention

• Ability to take ownership instead of waiting for frame-by-frame instructions

• Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly

• Curiosity about AI and emerging creative tools
