Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Mysore. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing raw footage into polished videos for social media, marketing campaigns, and brand storytelling, ensuring alignment with project briefs and brand guidelines. Daily tasks include assembling and trimming clips, adding transitions, text, music, and sound effects, and optimizing content formats for various platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and other social channels. The role involves close collaboration with creative directors, content creators, and marketing team members to refine concepts, maintain consistent visual style, and meet deadlines. The Video Editor will also manage media assets, stay current with video trends and editing techniques, and contribute ideas to improve the overall quality and performance of brand content.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong video editing skills, including proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
• Candidates should possess skills in motion graphics, basic animation, and visual effects to enhance storytelling and brand impact.
• Candidates should possess skills in sound design, including music selection, audio mixing, and syncing dialogue or voiceovers to visuals.
• Candidates should possess skills in visual storytelling, shot composition awareness, and understanding of pacing, narrative structure, and audience engagement for social media content.
• Candidates should possess skills in file management and workflow organization, including handling media assets, project files, and version control efficiently.
• Relevant qualifications include experience in a creative or media environment, a strong portfolio of edited video work, and familiarity with social media platforms and their content formats.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include a degree or certification in film, media, communication, or a related field; attention to detail; ability to work under deadlines; and strong collaboration and communication skills.
