Bloofy is a creative technology studio that helps brands build their presence through social media, branding, content, websites, and digital experiences.

We are looking for a Video Editor who is highly skilled in creating engaging short-form content for social media. The ideal candidate should understand what makes a reel engaging, have a strong sense of pacing and storytelling, and be able to consistently deliver high-quality videos within deadlines.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form social media content and can work efficiently in a fast-paced content environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit 4–5 high-quality short-form videos/reels per day for platforms such as Instagram and YouTube Shorts.

• Create engaging reels using strong hooks, storytelling, dynamic pacing, and attention-grabbing edits.

• Edit text-based, hype-style, talking-head, promotional, and trend-based reels.

• Use on-screen text, captions, sound effects, music, transitions, visual effects, and other editing techniques to improve audience retention.

• Add basic motion graphics and animations wherever required to enhance the quality of the content.

• Understand the concept and objective of each reel and translate it into an engaging visual story.

• Collaborate with the content and creative team to understand scripts, concepts, trends, references, and editing requirements.

• Ensure that videos are delivered within the assigned deadlines without compromising on quality.

• Optimize videos according to platform-specific formats, dimensions, trends, and audience behavior.

• Maintain consistency in editing style, quality, branding, and output across multiple client accounts.

• Make revisions quickly and efficiently based on feedback from the creative/content team.

• Stay updated with current Instagram and YouTube Shorts trends, editing styles, transitions, hooks, effects, and viral content formats.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in video editing, preferably with a strong focus on short-form social media content.

• Proven experience creating Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok-style videos, or similar short-form content.

• Strong understanding of hooks, storytelling, pacing, audience retention, and viral content formats.

• Ability to create visually engaging videos rather than simply cutting and joining clips.

• Good understanding of typography, text placement, transitions, music, sound effects, and visual storytelling.

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of motion graphics and animation is preferred.

• Proficiency in any professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.

• Strong attention to detail and a good sense of visual aesthetics.

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high-quality output.

• Strong time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple videos and deadlines simultaneously.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced social media/content environment.

Important Expectations

Efficiency is extremely important for this role.

The selected candidate will be expected to consistently produce 4–5 short-form videos every working day while maintaining a high standard of editing quality.

The candidate must:

• Be available and responsive between 11:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

• Be able to meet daily and project-specific deadlines.

• Respond promptly to the content/creative team during working hours.

• Take ownership of assigned videos from receiving the brief to delivering the final edit.

• Be comfortable handling feedback and making revisions within the required timelines.

• Maintain consistency in both speed and quality of work.

Work From Home Requirements

• This is a 100% Work From Home position.

• Candidates can be located anywhere in India.

• The candidate must have their own laptop/PC capable of handling professional video editing software.

• A stable internet connection is required.

• The candidate must have a suitable work environment that allows them to work productively during the designated working hours.

• A strong portfolio of Instagram Reels/YouTube Shorts.

• Experience working with brands, creators, agencies, or social media teams.

• Ability to recreate or improve trending reel formats.

• Strong understanding of what makes viewers stop scrolling and continue watching.

• Ability to edit different styles of content rather than relying on a single editing format.

• Strong sense of pacing, music selection, typography, and visual storytelling.

• Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
