Video Creator (Content & Production)

Symbionic is a clinical-stage prosthetics company building assistive technology that restores independence and dignity to upper-limb amputees. Our work sits at the intersection of engineering, healthcare, and deeply human storytelling. We are a small, mission-driven team, and every piece of content we put out reflects that mission directly.

We are looking for a Video Creator who can translate real human impact into compelling visual content across digital platforms. You will be responsible for the full production cycle, from field shoots with customers to edited, platform-ready content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

This is not a generic content role. You will be documenting real stories of real people, and that requires both strong technical skills and a genuine sensitivity to the subjects you are filming. Beneficiary Storytelling

• Shoot and edit video stories featuring our users, both in field environments and studio settings
• Capture authentic, respectful narratives for CSR communications and brand storytelling
• Develop a feel for when to step back and let a moment breathe, and when to direct a scene

Social Media Content

• Produce short-form video optimized for Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts
• Edit for strong pacing, captions, and platform-native formats
• Stay current on content trends relevant to health, tech, and impact verticals

Product Content

• Create product demonstration videos for Krea Adaptive, our flagship prosthetic product
• Capture usage scenarios that communicate both function and emotional benefit clearly

Founder-Led Content

• Film Rishi and Niranjan for educational, thought leadership, and narrative videos
• Cut clips suitable for LinkedIn and YouTube, maintaining a consistent visual voice across formats

Pre-Production & Planning

• Support scripting, research, and storyboarding before shoots
• Execute the content publishing calendar reliably

Media Management

• Maintain an organized library of raw footage and assets
• Manage structured backups and archives for reusable material
• Ensure visual consistency across all content, including framing, color grading, and style

Experience

• 0 to 2 years of hands-on video production and editing experience (agency, in-house, or freelance)
• A portfolio that demonstrates both technical competence and storytelling sensibility. Bonus if it includes human interest or documentary-style work

Technical Skills

• Proficient with DSLR and comfortable shooting on smartphones when needed
• Strong editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut or similar software
• Solid understanding of framing, lighting, stabilization, and camera movement
• Experience recording clean audio with lapel microphones and handling basic noise correction

Soft Skills & Approach

• Comfortable working with users and documenting sensitive, personal stories with care and respect
• Self-directed and organized enough to manage multiple shoots and deadlines in parallel
• Strong communicator who can collaborate with founders, a content lead, and external subjects without friction

Good to Have

• Experience with motion graphics or simple title animations
• Familiarity with color correction workflows
• Prior work in the healthcare, social impact, or nonprofit space
