We are seeking an experienced Trade Operations in the Regulatory Reporting space to join our Singapore team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced trading environment and enjoys working closely with Front Office, Operations, and global stakeholders across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring all regulatory reporting BAU and projects are met on time and to the highest standard
- Conduct reviews on all regulatory reporting requirements (Completeness, Accuracy, Timeliness) to ensure compliance with regulation in each jurisdiction (MAS & HKMA)
- Manage exceptions in day-to-day reporting operations to ensure Regulatory obligations are met
- Review and execute key risk and control processes to ensure compliance with MAS & HKMA regulatory reporting obligations
- Provide assurance that effective processes and controls are in place to manage and perform the daily Regulatory Reporting tasks
- Build full understanding of the bank's regulatory reporting architecture
- Ensure that procedures and controls are well documented with clear and concise explanations to substantiate and support regulatory concepts and requirements across all reporting areas
- Work with compliance to ensure all new regulations and changes to existing regulations are identified and properly implemented into daily reporting process
- Participate in IT system enhancement and support process improvement projects.
- Participate in new/amended product implementations to ensure Regulatory compliance is maintained.
Skills, Competencies & Qualifications
- 5 - 8 years of operations experience in the banking and financial sector with transaction regulatory reporting focus
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
- Extensive knowledge of banking regulatory frameworks and regulatory reporting with hands-on experience in MAS and HKMA trade reporting in both execution and lead capacity
- Displays a high degree of control awareness, attention to detail and focus on providing quality output
- Detailed hands-on knowledge of regulatory reporting platforms, OTC derivative products and Murex
- The ability to take ownership of processes, escalation and stakeholder management
- A strong team player who can work autonomously with the ability to work under pressure against tight timelines
- Must have strong communication skills to clearly articulate issues and ideas & provide timely escalation
- Proficient with MS products: high level Excel, intermediate VBA/Macros with Python skills an advantage.
- Interest in data analysis, process automation, big data or non-technical process efficiencies is an advantage
