Job Description

A senior, high-visibility opportunity within the Operations function of a leading global financial services group, seeking an experienced settlements leader to own and drive FX Settlements operations across the group's global entities. This role carries significant visibility, with close partnership across Front Office, Middle Office, Technology and senior stakeholders globally.

The role offers the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a critical global function, combining operational ownership with senior stakeholder engagement and a strong focus on process efficiency and control.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Global FX Settlements operations across the group's entities, owning client and employee experience end-to-end.
  • Working closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Technology and other business units to ensure smooth operational activities.
  • Overseeing FX Settlements applications and ensuring alignment with market-driven initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities for processing and reporting efficiencies and making recommendations.
  • Driving the strategic direction of the FX Settlements team across the global footprint.
  • Identifying, analyzing and resolving complex problems relating to product lines and functions.
  • Ensuring communication and compliance with company and regulatory policies across managed areas.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

  • 15+ years of relevant industry experience within FX Settlements / Operations.
  • Strong control mindset, high ethical standards and a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Demonstrated executive presence when engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience managing alliances, client relationships and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong technical and business domain knowledge, with a settlement operations background.
  • In-depth understanding of the securities trade life cycle.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to operate under pressure, translating data into key business metrics.
  • Exposure to Alteryx, Power BI, Robotics or Machine Learning would be advantageous.
  • Graduate / MBA qualification.
