As part of Risk Management and Compliance, you are at the center of keeping JPMorganChase strong and resilient. You help the firm grow its business responsibly by anticipating new and emerging risks and using your expert judgment to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers, and communities. Our culture in Risk Management and Compliance is all about thinking outside the box, challenging the status quo, and striving to be best-in-class.

You will be part of the SWAT Team under CCB Risk India, primarily responsible for working on critical risk projects end to end, developing and maintaining process standards, and performing complex activities with the objective of reducing losses, balancing risk-reward trade-offs, and enhancing efficiencies in the system. You will identify key risk drivers, assess concentrations and exposures, and analytically segment the portfolio along these factors.

You will interact frequently with cross-functional partners and make presentations to senior managers and executives. You are expected to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the business and ensure a robust controls environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilize skills in data analysis, modeling, data engineering, and project management to initiate, develop, and complete advanced analytics projects.
  • Perform credit-focused analytics to identify, quantify, and monitor risks in consumers and small businesses, leveraging diverse, large internal data sources.
  • Exercise a high degree of judgment and independent decision-making for complex issues and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Cards, Auto, Home Lending, and Business Banking teams to understand and address key business challenges.
  • Work independently on analytical tasks, starting with problem identification, defining objectives, data discovery and analysis of large and complex data sets, formulating concise conclusions with actionable recommendations, and creating stories to communicate findings.
  • Provide clear and concise oral and written communication across various functions and levels, including Operations, IT, and Risk Management.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, macroeconomic developments, technological advances, and best practices in risk analytics.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership skills by providing coaching and mentoring to analytic professionals, developing team members, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for the team, provide regular feedback, and support professional growth and development.
  • Lead by example, promoting a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Education & Experience: MS or Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Math, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or equivalent) with 8+ years of experience in risk management or quantitative analysis. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Proven ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems and work effectively in evolving environments. Strong analytical skills with experience conceptualizing and executing analytics-driven projects.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects across cross-functional teams.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across departments and functions.
  • Risk Management Expertise: In-depth knowledge of risk management policies, control processes, metrics, and strategy.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Python, SAS, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (including graphs, charts, and formulas).
