HIRING: VICE PRESIDENT SALES, MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Defence Drone Aerospace International Strategic Markets

VTOL Aviation India is entering a new phase of accelerated growth as we scale our indigenous UAV platforms, advanced drone-based solutions, and defence technology capabilities. We are inviting an exceptional senior leader to join our executive team and drive our commercial, strategic, and international expansion agenda.

This role is designed for a high-calibre defence procurement expert who possesses deep domain fluency, strong institutional networks, and the ability to convert high-value opportunities into long-term strategic business outcomes.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Vice President Sales, Marketing & Business Development will shape VTOL's commercial architecture across India and global markets. This is a mission-critical leadership role commanding strategic ownership of:

Defence sales and enterprise-level BD

Tender intelligence and opportunity capture

Global outreach and partnership development

Customer engagement with the Armed Forces, PSUs, DRDO, paramilitary forces & international agencies

PREFERRED PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

We are specifically seeking senior defence veterans or seasoned industry leaders with:

Defence Procurement Expertise

  • Former Brigadier / Colonel / Lt Colonel with hands-on experience across procurement directorates
  • Significant exposure to DAP 2020, DPM, Make-I/II, iDEX, leasing models, trial processes & contracting modalities
  • Established relationships across MHA, Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, CAPFs, PSUs, DRDO, Defence Labs & global OEMs

UAV / Aerospace Industry Experience

  • Proven track record in drone, UAV, or aerospace system sales
  • Demonstrated capability in positioning emerging technologies for defence adoption
  • Strong understanding of UAV platforms, payloads, mission profiles & emerging regulatory frameworks

Bid & Tender Leadership

  • Leading end-to-end RFI, EOI, RFP, RFQ, technical bid, commercial bid & contract negotiation cycles
  • Ability to craft high-precision techno-commercial proposals
  • Experience managing multi-crore defence deals with complex compliance requirements

Key Leadership Responsibilities

  • Architect and execute the national & international business development strategy
  • Lead enterprise engagements with defence forces, homeland security, and global partners
  • Oversee tender pipelines, competitive positioning, and bid governance
  • Drive high-level customer engagements, demonstrations, and operational trial evaluations
  • Build and mentor a high-performance BD, Sales & Marketing vertical
  • Represent VTOL at global defence exhibitions, bilateral industry platforms & high-level delegations
