This commercially relevant role involves producing technical outputs aligned with commercial outcomes, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver insight-driven analytics, support reinsurance strategy, and contribute to regional growth.

We will count on you to:

  • Develop, validate, and interpret analytical outputs using sound actuarial judgment and first-principles thinking.
  • Build and review loss projections, stress scenarios, and portfolio performance metrics to support reinsurance decision-making.
  • Translate technical outputs into commercially relevant insights and clear market-facing narratives.
  • Support structuring and optimization of proportional and non-proportional reinsurance solutions including quota share, excess of loss, and hybrid arrangements.
  • Collaborate with brokers and regional stakeholders on client presentations, strategic discussions, and renewal negotiations.
  • Utilize internal tools (e.g., MetaRisk, portfolio models) and bespoke analytical frameworks to develop practical reinsurance solutions.
  • Challenge assumptions, validate methodologies, and ensure outputs remain technically robust, commercially relevant, and aligned with governance standards.
  • Take ownership of deliverables while operating within established peer review and oversight frameworks.
  • Contribute to analytics framework development, process improvement, and knowledge sharing across regional teams.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with brokers, clients, reinsurers, and internal stakeholders across IMEA.

Why this role:

  • Exposure to multi-market IMEA portfolio
  • Opportunity to work on high-impact reinsurance decisions
  • Steep learning curve across technical, commercial, and client-facing dimensions

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline.
  • 8+ years of relevant actuarial or reinsurance analytics experience.
  • Strong technical understanding of actuarial principles, portfolio analytics, reinsurance pricing and reinsurance structures.
  • Ability to independently assess analytical reasonability, validate outputs, and identify inconsistencies or flawed assumptions.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to connect technical findings to practical market outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail with strong ownership mindset and accountability for quality of output.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative working style with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience within a reinsurance broker, reinsurer, or an insurer environment.
  • Prior exposure to client-facing discussions, renewal support, and reinsurance placement strategy.
  • Experience working across multiple markets and product lines within a regional setup.
  • Familiarity with analytical and visualization tools such as R, Python, SQL, Alteryx, Power BI, or equivalent platforms.
  • Ability to balance technical depth with commercial practicality and communication quality.

Why join our team:

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
