Vice President Operations

Role Overview

The Vice President Operations will be responsible for leading and scaling Pidge's operations

function across geographies, business lines, and delivery formats.This is a senior leadership role that requires strong ownership of last-mile operations, P&L,growth, planning, supply optimization, rider optimization, service reliability, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate should come from a high-growth start up environment, preferably from logistics-tech, quick commerce, e-commerce, mobility, or marketplace-led businesses.The person should be comfortable operating at scale, leading large distributed teams, solving complex operational problems, and using data & technology to improve performance.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead end-to-end operations across last-mile delivery, city operations, partner operations, rider supply, and service execution.
  • Own operational P&L across business lines, with focus on revenue delivery, gross margin, cost per order, productivity, and profitability.
  • Drive growth readiness by ensuring operational capacity, supply availability, manpower planning, and city-level execution capability.
  • Build scalable operating models for different delivery formats including last-mile, quick commerce, e-commerce, 3W/4W, and enterprise logistics.
  • Improve key operational metrics including service levels, delivery success rate, on-time performance, rider productivity, utilization, cancellations, cost efficiency, & customer exp.
  • Work closely with Product, Technology, Revenue, Finance, and Customer Success teams to solve operational bottlenecks and build scalable systems.
  • Lead supply planning and rider optimization to ensure the right supply availability at the right location, time, and cost.
  • Drive automation, dashboards, SOPs, control mechanisms, and performance review cadences across the operations function.
  • Build strong regional and city leadership teams with clear accountability, discipline, & execution rhythm.
  • Identify and solve margin leakages, operational inefficiencies, cost escalations, and service failures.
  • Create a culture of ownership, speed, data-backed decision-making, and continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking For:

  • 10–15+ years of experience in operations leadership, preferably in high-growth startups or scale-up environments.
  • Strong experience in logistics-tech, quick commerce, e-commerce, food delivery, mobility, marketplace, supply chain, or hyperlocal delivery businesses.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale last-mile operations, distributed teams, and city/regional operations.
  • Strong understanding of operational P&L, cost per order, unit economics, rider productivity, supply planning, and service reliability.
  • Experience in scaling operations across multiple cities, hubs, stores, partners, or delivery networks.
  • Strong analytical and execution mindset with comfort in dashboards, operating metrics, planning models, and performance reviews.
  • Ability to work closely with Product and Technology teams to improve allocation, routing, rider utilization, visibility, and operational intelligence.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to work with founders, leadership teams, clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity, solve problems on ground, and build structured processes for scale.

  • Prior experience in high-growth, execution heavy environments will be strongly preferred.
  • The ideal candidate is a senior operations leader who has scaled complex, high-volume, timesensitive operations in a fast-growing environment.
  • This person should be equally strong in strategy and execution — able to think about network design, supply planning, P&L, and growth, while also being hands-on enough to solve ground level operational challenges.
