  • Strong executive presence with exceptional board-level communication and negotiation skills for complex commercial terms.
  • Robust financial acumen, including deal modeling, price-to-value analysis, and margin optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of advanced telecom technologies such as Open RAN, vRAN, 5G SA, network slicing, FTTx, DWDM/OTN, SDN/NFV, SD-WAN/SASE, private 5G, and OSS/BSS integration.
  • Data-driven leadership with expertise in pipeline coverage, win-rate analysis, and forecast accuracy.
  • High cultural agility and ability to operate effectively across diverse markets.

Responsibilities

  • Own regional P&L and deliver revenue and growth targets.
  • Drive disciplined sales execution, governance, and compliance across the region.
  • Identify and qualify potential customers through market research, networking, and outreach; maintain a strong pipeline of leads.
  • Present, promote, and sell Tejas Networks wireline and wireless solutions, including 4G/5G offerings, to prospective customers.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and deliver compelling value propositions tailored to customer needs.
  • Negotiate contracts, close deals, and ensure timely payments to achieve revenue goals.
  • Build and nurture long-term strategic relationships with operators, PSUs, Dfense accounts, and key customers to drive sustained growth.
  • Manage account relationships, address queries, and provide superior after-sales support for repeat business.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments; share insights with marketing and product teams for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare accurate weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses; recommend strategies to meet KPIs.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment and alignment of revenue targets with project deliverables.
  • Lead and inspire a multicultural, matrixed team; participate in strategic discussions and contribute to overall business planning.
  • Regularly engage with clients to adapt solutions to evolving requirements and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Extensive experience in managing defense, public sector, and PSU accounts.
  • Proven track record of handling BSNL accounts at the zonal level.
  • Hands-on expertise in wireless technologies (4G/5G) and wireline solutions, including mobile backhaul, broadband backhaul, and GPON.
  • Proven success in managing large businesses and leading small teams.
  • Strong track record of selling to Tier-1/Tier-2 operators, PSUs, defense, and enterprise/private 5G buyers.
  • Expertise in solution selling, RFP cycles, procurement processes, and regulatory environments in India.
  • Established relationships and deep understanding of the government ecosystem and major accounts (BSNL experience is mandatory).
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 25+ years of progressive sales leadership in telecom product sales (wireline and wireless).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree (MBA/Engineering) preferred.
