Role Overview

We are looking for a visionary Vice President – Engineering or Business Unit Head to lead our engineering teams and accelerate our business growth. This strategic leadership role involves overseeing delivery excellence, driving innovation, and building high-performing teams. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional departments—Sales, Marketing, Talent Acquisition, and RMG—to shape Calsoft's future.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

• Lead, mentor, and inspire diverse engineering teams across locations.
• Align engineering efforts with company vision and business goals.
• Represent engineering in executive leadership meetings and planning.

Business Growth

• Drive new customer acquisition and growth from existing clients.
• Lead account management and customer engagement strategies.
• Deliver excellent outcomes that directly contribute to P&L.

Operational Excellence

• Oversee project execution ensuring timelines, quality, and budget goals are met.
• Implement engineering best practices in coding, testing, DevOps, and delivery.
• Optimize resource allocation and build scalable engineering processes.

Innovation & Culture

• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Encourage experimentation with emerging technologies and modern methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience growing and managing a business unit or delivery division in a technology services company.
• Proven engineering/delivery leadership experience in at least one of Calsoft's core areas: Infrastructure (servers, virtualization, storage, security), Networking, Telecom, or AI/ML.
• Past technical experience in early career with strong business acumen and domain understanding.
• Management experience in a mid-sized services company (300–3000 employees).
• Strong grasp of Agile, DevOps, and modern SDLC practices.
• Excellent decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with services clients such as Dell, HPE, Cisco, VMware/Broadcom, etc.
• Ability to leverage industry relationships to generate business opportunities.
• Prior success in leading distributed/global engineering teams.
• Involvement in cloud infrastructure product development, AI/ML, or telecommunications services.
• Collaboration experience with sales/business development teams to scale service offerings.
