Job Description

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for all goods and services required by the company.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts to secure optimal price, payment, and delivery terms.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Production, Finance, and other departments to align procurement with project schedules.
  • Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with best practices, Group policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Analyze market trends and supply chain data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and process optimization.
  • Lead and oversee the procurement team, including recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Manage procurement budgets, ensuring all activities are within budgetary limits.
  • Stay updated on procurement, renewable energy, and sustainability industry trends and best practices.
  • Execute procurement via quotations, online bidding, and tender processes for materials and services.
  • Support BD, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Quality departments with estimation and procurement for upcoming projects.
  • Finalize contracts for turnkey infrastructure projects such as PSS, TL, TB, SMS, and operation & maintenance (OM) contracts for solar farms.
  • Select vendors for capital equipment like transformers, panels, SCADA, and automation systems. Assess new vendors and technologies for upcoming industry challenges.
  • Monitor vendor, contractor, and operations agency performance specific to projects and plants.
  • Manage inventory of spare and critical items to ensure smooth solar plant operations.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to optimize procurement efficiency, reduce costs and delivery times, and respond promptly to stakeholders.
  • Conduct internal HSE audits and drive HSE compliance within the procurement function.
  • Oversee logistics processes related to imports via sea, air, and courier services.
  • Maintain procurement records in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Lead a procurement team of 10+ personnel effectively.
