Job Description

Position: VP Pre-IPO Sales

Location: Bengaluru

Department: Pre-IPO

Reports To: Head Business Excellence

About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished VP Pre-IPO Sales to lead the business vertical focused on sourcing, structuring, and distributing Pre-IPO and unlisted equity opportunities. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for engaging HNIs, UHNIs, and family offices, driving deal execution, and building a strong distribution ecosystem in the private markets space.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for the Pre-IPO and unlisted equity segment.
  • Identify high-potential, high-growth pre-IPO opportunities and build relationships with promoters, intermediaries, and investment bankers.
  • Define revenue goals and lead the sales team to deliver aggressive growth metrics.

2. Sales & Distribution

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team specializing in Pre-IPO and private market products.
  • Establish and expand a distribution network across wealth managers, IFAs, and institutional partners.
  • Drive client acquisition, nurturing, and retention through strong consultative selling and relationship management.

3. Client Advisory & Relationship Management

  • Engage with HNI and UHNI investors to present opportunities aligned with their investment objectives.
  • Provide complete advisory support, including due diligence insights, valuation analysis, exit timelines, and liquidity options.
  • Ensure excellent client experience and seamless post-investment engagement.

4. Product Development & Research Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with research and investment teams to identify, evaluate, and structure pre-IPO deals.
  • Contribute to product documentation, marketing materials, and investor communication decks.
  • Stay updated on market trends, valuation movements, and applicable SEBI regulations for unlisted/private markets.

5. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure strict adherence to internal and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Maintain transparent communication and complete documentation with clients and partners.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Business, or a related field (MBA/CFA preferred).
  • 1015 years of experience in private wealth, investment banking, or private equity sales.
  • Strong and active network of HNIs, UHNIs, and family offices.
  • Proven track record in private market deal sourcing, structuring, and execution.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
