Job Description

1. Manpower Planning & Talent Acquisition

Provide leadership & management direction to the complete talent acquisition function; formulated manpower budgets in-line with the organizational requirements, led the recruitment of top-level talent and enabled successful closure of all leadership hiring, as per defined timelines, competencies, budget and TAT

Finalization of manpower requirement as per the work design parameters

Timely closure of open positions through internal/external candidates

Achieve reduction in recruitment cost either through internal redeployment or through Job portals.

Compensation Strategy & Benefits Program - industry competitive compensation & benefit programs to attract and retain best talent

2. HR Strategy and Budget :

Develop HR plans, policy and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business strategy & objectives.

Function as a strategic business advisor to the MD, HQ, on key organizational and management issues related to India region.

Work closely with the Leadership Team to develop & execute the strategies that effectively support and enhance the overall business strategies.

Closely work with Executive Management to develop and execute talent development strategy which includes management succession and retention strategy.

Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals & scalability.

Designing and delivering effective structures and processes to meet strategic imperatives at an optimum cost

Ensuring that there is an overall optimization in the department costs as per the guidelines set by the top management

3. Training and Development

Undertake competency and skills gap analysis at various functions.

Develop the L&D strategy based on key business imperatives.

Develop Training Plan and Training Calendar for the employees based on Skill Map Analysis for the phase wise development of Training Modules and continuous process of Capacity Building.

Develop training workshops for management level employees in the form of technical, managerial and soft skills building

Develop technical training programs for shop floor employees.

Conducting & sensitising Knowledge building , competency enhancement trainings or session for Senior Management & above population

4. Performance appraisal

Formulation and implementation of policies relating to increments, incentives and remuneration.

Managing Appraisal process across the levels and establishing framework for substantiating Performance Appraisal system linked to Reward Management.

Setting up KRAs in company and ensuring rewards as per the achievements of those set goals.

Facilitate strategy map, KRAs, Goal setting process, monitor &review the KRAs, Clarify Linkages, in order to ensure individual objectives are aligned to corporate objectives

5. HR Automation :

Replaced absolute HR system with New HR Solution, Work line

Automated HR process from manpower budget to hiring to employees life cycle

Harmonization of attendance system

6. Employee Engagement, Brand Building & Employee Survey

To provide change leadership to develop organization culture of excellence, high employee engagement and learning aligned with best practices.

Development and implement Training Strategy, Communication Strategy & Employee Engagement strategies to build organization as Great Work Place

Ensure worker's participation at the manufacturing units in order to build a collaborative culture

To organize small group activities Like Quality Committee, Safety Committee, Health Committee

Create a two communication channel within the organization to ensure better leadership connect

7. Industrial Relation

Wage Settlement- Settled eight long term settlements during career span. Introduced new productivity norms and removed restrictive practices during the collective bargaining process.

Contract Labour Management- Put in system and process to eliminate any form of Sham Contract which ensured hundred percent risk mitigation for the Company. Outsourced various process/operations under challenging circumstances resulting in saving of rupees two crores annually.

Closure/Strikes- As a special assignment fulfilled management objective in closing one loss making establishment. Successful resolved four strikes during career span.

Organization Discipline- Ensured zero man-days loss in IR sensitive zones. Conducted numerous domestic enquiries. Adroit guidance in disciplinary matters ensured seventy-five percent cases of the management being upheld by Industrial Tribunal/Labour Courts.

Grievance Redressal- Put in a structured grievance redressal mechanism for resolution of disputes resulting in in reduction of dispute by eighty per cent. Introduced the concept of IR connect, structured Shop floor communications to redress grievances at the onset.

Statutory Compliances- Benchmarked compliances. Outsourced the operation resulting in agility with hundred percent compliance and saving to the tune of twenty lacs per annum.

Policy Formulation- Formulated IR manual, Service Rule for the entire group. Formulated numerable policies on Employee matters to bring clarity and transparency in the system.

Qualifications

  • MBA degree or equivalent
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge in entire gamet of HR
