Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • Responsible for overall Financial Governance and Reporting of MGN India.
  • To ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible to manage all statutory compliances which are critical and can impact the company.
  • Responsible for managing and execution of Planning and control at MGN India.
  • Oversee the Company Secretarial Function for MGN India (1900+ Resources), for Tax, Transfer pricing, Finance, Governance, Board meeting, AGMs, and Banking. Also responsible for periodic update of the Statutory audits and financial accounts of the company, as per local laws.
  • Drive process improvements, increased efficiencies, support towards organizational strategic goals and handle leadership team at MGN India.

Key Result Areas:

  • Timely book closure, preparation and finalization of Financial Statements.
  • Review Payroll register and process payroll
  • Manage the Cash Flow of the MGN and optimize the use of Liquid assets to ensure for higher return.
  • Update and implement an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards and procedures and as required by various statutes
  • Handle Statutory audits, Internal Audits and Group Audits for timely completion
  • Liaise with external accounting partner vendors, and manage their deliverables
  • Provide leadership support in tax matters, drive tax planning and ensure to comply with tax regulations Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, GST, Central Excise and Customs
  • Compliances of various regulations relating to STPI / RBI / FEMA.
  • Update management of the changes in various laws and taxes applicable.
  • Plan Prepare and Conduct Board meeting & General Meetings and comply with Companies Act.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute the annual budgeting and forecasting exercise
  • Develop appropriate key performance indicators to monitor and drive the financial performance
  • Continuously looking at improvement in metrics, SLA by process improvements and automation
  • Assess, record, monitor and control various operating financial and regulatory Risks
  • Participate in various committees, forums, discussions involving financial matters.
  • Provide Financial analysis on adhoc basis if required.
  • Build relationship with Business and Functional heads, to adopt agility, and support.
  • Build a strong and efficient FA team to provide robust business support for current operations and future scale-up
  • Mentor and develop finance team using supportive and collaborative approach; assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, and monitor and evaluate results
  • Support, Identify, formulate, execute and monitor cost reduction opportunities and initiatives
  • Being a key factor in driving the transformation towards full digitalization and AI within Finance (including coming up and implementing new solutions).

Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries, Working Relationships

  • Interact with internal employees, external partners, vendors and other related parties.
  • Interact with HR for submission of Head count related information to PMAD.
  • Ensure that the management is informed of all risks, issues and their status
  • Adhere to banks operational risk policy

Problem Solving:

  • Prioritize tasks within job function, balancing the need to meet tight deadlines and other Organizational demands.
  • Execution and analytical capabilities to suggest ways to improve operations.
  • Deploy internal controls as risk mitigant measures.
  • Full compliance with the accounting policies and procedures

Knowledge, Skills and Experience :

  • Fluent in English
  • A qualified Finance professional with over 15+ years of experience having sound analytical skills and knowledge of Finance Analysis, Planning, Accounting and Management Accounting.
  • Experience and knowledge of banking products dynamics, procedures, and related accounting. Taxation, Governance & Indian Company & Tax laws.
  • Excellent strong inter-personal, communication, Organizational and presentation skills required to interact with and provide information to Country Group Head for strategic business decision.
  • Sound knowledge of financial analysis, planning, accounting, and performance management, with high analytical skills to transform data into meaningful information for decision making.
  • Self-motivated and dynamic thinking, creative and committed to success.
  • Effective leadership and team management skills.
  • Project management skills to coordinate and deliver on critical projects.
  • Experience in working with external management consultants.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and within short / challenging deadlines.
