Role Overview
We are hiring a Vice President Private Equity Fund Accounting to lead end-to-end fund accounting across multiple private equity strategies and structures. The role owns financial reporting, investor servicing, regulatory compliance, platform optimization, and team leadership, and partners closely with Front Office, Investor Relations, Tax, Compliance, and external administrators/auditors.
Key Responsibilities
- Own monthly and quarterly close for PE funds, feeders, parallel vehicles, and SPVs
- Deliver financial statements under US GAAP / IFRS, partner capital accounts, and investor reporting
- Oversee capital calls, distributions, equalizations, true-ups, and side letter economics
- Coordinate valuations (ASC 820 / IFRS 13) and run complex waterfall calculations (carry, pref, catch-ups)
- Ensure compliance with AIFMD, Annex IV, Form PF, FATCA/CRS, and support investor tax reporting
- Act as senior point of contact for LPs and key internal stakeholders
- Lead fund launches, investor onboarding, and administrator transitions
- Own and optimize PE fund accounting platforms (Investran, Allvue, eFront, Yardi, Workiva) and drive automation
- Implement strong controls, SOPs, QA/QC frameworks, and scalable operating models
- Lead and develop global fund accounting teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's in Accounting or Finance; CPA/ACA preferred
- 13+ years of experience in private equity or alternatives fund accounting
- Strong expertise in US GAAP / IFRS, ASC 946/820, waterfalls, carried interest, fee mechanics, equalizations, and side letters
- Experience managing multi-fund, multi-structure, and multi-currency portfolios
- Proven leadership in process improvement, system implementation, and global team management
