Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and technically sound
Vice President of Engineering to lead our engineering teams and drive the development and delivery of cutting-edge, scalable, and secure software solutions using
Java and AWS technologies. This leadership role requires strong technical expertise, people management skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality products in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and direction across all engineering functions.
- Architect and oversee the development of scalable and high-performing Java-based applications hosted on AWS.
- Lead the design and implementation of modern cloud-native solutions using AWS services like EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, etc.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of engineers, team leads, and engineering managers.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure timely delivery of projects and initiatives.
- Define and implement best practices for code quality, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Drive the adoption of agile methodologies, continuous integration, and DevOps practices.
- Monitor technology trends and continuously assess opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Own the engineering roadmap and ensure alignment with business goals.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership/VP role.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, and microservices architecture.
- Deep experience with AWS cloud platform and services.
- Proven experience managing large engineering teams and scaling technology platforms.
- Excellent understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and cloud-native principles.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in agile software development, DevOps, CI/CD, and test automation practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS)
