Vice President - Database Architect

Key Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge ofOracle RAC, standalone databases, andPrimary vs Standbysetups (both physical and logical).
• Expertise inPostgreSQL (8+ years), and overall experience of15+ yearsin database management.
• Strong skills inperformance tuning,data modeling, andquery optimization.
• Proficient in tools likeSQLPlus, SQL Developer, SQLLoader, and technologies likeMaterialized Views, Explain Plan, SPM, andPL/SQL.
• Good understanding ofdatabase metrics,MIS reporting, andresource/task management.
• Proven experience withOracle 19c+ installation,Disaster Recovery (DR) drills, andsecurity & complianceprotocols (e.g.,TDE, PII masking).
• Leadership qualities to manage cross-functional teams, support functions, and communicate with clients and auditors effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentorthe database team handling business-as-usual (BAU) and production environments.
• Define KRAs, manage performance appraisals, and plan support rosters.
• Design and implementPostgreSQL & Oracle RACsystems with a focus on reliability and scalability.
• Overseeproduction support, resolve issues swiftly, andminimize downtime.
• Optimize database performance usingAWR, ADDM, and SAR reports.
• Plan and execute upgrades, year-end activities, DR drills, and migrations.
• Implement security protocols likeTDE, Redaction, and Compliance Mandates.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customized database solutions.
• Participate in strategic discussions with clients, banks, and auditors.
• Continuously driveautomation, process improvements,andservice-level enhancements.
