Job Description

Job Title: Vice President — Investment Banking & Advisory

Company: CreedCap

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India — On-site, Full-time

Experience Level: 7–12 Years

About CreedCap

CreedCap is a specialized investment banking and advisory firm based in Bengaluru. Since 2010, we have worked with 40+ emerging consumer and technology companies across 100+ transactions — including Nium, Housing.com, Bounce, Cure Foods, StockGro, Jiffy.ai, HattiKaapi, DrinkPrime, Yulu, and many more.

We operate across four core verticals: Consumer (offline retail + consumer tech), Enterprise Tech, Healthcare, and Transportation & Electrification. Our guiding principles — Believe. Become. Benefit. — describe the way we operate, not just the way we market ourselves. We back founders before the market catches up. We stay in the journey, not just for the mandate. And the upside flows to everyone who committed to the outcome.

CreedCap Asset Management

CreedCap is not just an advisory firm — we put our own capital to work alongside the founders we back. Through CreedCap Asset, we manage private market investments for nine Indian family offices and run a proprietary portfolio of 20+ companies.

Recent investments include Good Farmer Food Concepts (Maverick and Farmer Coffee, Square Burger & Co.), Aceblend, and Organic Mandya.

Our broader portfolio includes: Nium (partially exited), Bounce, CureFoods, StockGro, Jiffy.ai, HattiKaapi, DrinkPrime, DriveU, Freshworld, Scroll.in, EVRE, Geist Beer, SkinQ, and others.

We meet a founder early, we believe in what they're building, we invest. When they're ready to go to market for institutional capital, we lead the raise. That investor + advisor lens — having skin in the game on both sides — is what makes every conversation we have more honest and more useful.

Role Overview

This is a principal-level hire. The VP at CreedCap co-leads the firm's deal portfolio alongside the Managing Director — running 6-8 mandates simultaneously from origination through close, representing the firm independently in investor and client conversations, and building the team and relationships that define what CreedCap looks like in the next phase of its growth. You will bring in mandates, not wait for them. You will develop relationships with investors at the partner and CXO levels. You will participate in investment committee discussions through CreedCap Asset. And you will help shape which sectors we go deeper into, which deals we take, and how the firm presents itself to the market. If you are at a large institution and your best work disappears into a deal process managed by 15 people — this is structurally the opposite of that.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-lead deal execution with the Managing Director across live fundraise, M&A, and secondary mandates — owning 3–4 simultaneously from first conversation to final close
  • Drive origination independently: identify, approach, and convert new mandates through your own network and sector conviction — not a referral queue
  • Own investor relationships at the partner, family office principal, and CXO level — build a network that moves capital, not one that just exists on a contact list
  • Lead the team (3–5 professionals) — set deal-level priorities, review all output, develop the people below you, and hold the function to a high standard
  • Represent CreedCap independently in investor meetings, term negotiations, and management discussions — without MD accompaniment where appropriate
  • Participate in investment committee processes for CreedCap Asset — contributing deal-level diligence, sector perspective, and investment conviction
  • Own transaction structuring from the inside: lead term negotiations, manage external legal and financial advisors, and take deals through definitive documentation to close
  • Build the firm's depth in 1–2 target sectors — through consistent deal activity, founder relationships, and market presence over time

What You'll Work On

We work across the full capital lifecycle — from Pre-Series A rounds for founders we back early, all the way through Series F. At the VP level, you also have a hand in deciding which deals we pursue.

Our four core verticals at VP level:

  • Consumer (offline retail + consumer tech) — large growth equity transactions, strategic M&A, cross-border deals, and secondary transactions for scaled consumer brands and retail tech companies
  • Enterprise Tech — Series B and beyond for AI-native services and enterprise SaaS companies at institutional revenue scale
  • Healthcare — complex capital structures for consumer health platforms, diagnostics chains, and mental health businesses
  • Transportation & Electrification — equity and structured capital for category-defining EV, mobility, and logistics players

Fundraise, M&A, and secondaries — all three are core to the VP mandate. You do not specialize into a transaction type here. The breadth is the job. At the VP level, you also participate in sector prioritisation, mandate selection, and pipeline strategy — shaping where the firm's energy goes, not just executing on decisions already made.

Select Advisory Transactions Closed in the last 12 months

  • StockGro — Series B (primary and secondary)
  • Aceblend — Series A
  • Cure Foods — buy-side M&A (multiple acquisitions)
  • HattiKaapi — Series A
  • Bounce — Series F

Qualifications & Experience
  • MBA from a top-20 institution (India or global), or CA with a demonstrated transaction leadership track record at a reputed firm
  • 7–12 years of experience in investment banking, private equity advisory, or venture capital
  • Must have independently closed at least 3 transactions — you should be able to walk through each one, your specific role, the structure, and the outcome
  • Proven ability to manage senior relationships — partner-level, family office principal, CXO — with a network you can activate, not just describe
  • Experience leading and developing teams — you have managed people before, held them accountable, and grown their capability over time
  • Origination instinct: the ability to identify a potential mandate, build the relationship from scratch, and bring it to engagement — without a warm handoff
  • Fluency in deal documentation: SHA, SPA, term sheets, and definitive agreements — you understand the commercial terms, not just the legal language around them

Compensation & Career Growth
  • Competitive fixed compensation benchmarked to senior IB roles at mid-market and boutique firms
  • Meaningful carry and variable compensation tied directly to firm revenue and deal performance — a structured participation in what the firm generates, not a discretionary bonus
  • Partnership path: VPs who build origination capability, develop the team, and contribute to firm growth will be considered for a principal-level stake in the business
  • Investment committee participation through CreedCap Asset — directly relevant for those building toward a full principal investing career

Why Join CreedCap

You build a franchise, not manage a book. At a large institution, VP is a well-defined lane with a clear ceiling. At CreedCap, a VP shapes what the firm looks like in three years — the sectors it goes deep in, the investor relationships it holds, and the deals it takes on. That is a different kind of opportunity.

Real partnership with the MD from day one. The entire team reports to the Managing Director. No siloed structures, no bureaucratic distance between you and the decisions that define the firm. At the VP level, you co-lead — with real context, real influence, and real accountability for outcomes.

Investor + advisor in the same seat. Because CreedCap invests through CreedCap Asset, the firm's advisory is backed by actual conviction. As VP, you sit inside that combined perspective — participating in investment committee decisions and leading fundraises with full visibility into how both sides of the table think. That is not a common vantage point.

Your mandates are yours. The deals you originate, the investors you bring in, the relationships you develop — they are attributed to you, visibly, inside and outside the firm. Nothing disappears into a deal machine here.

This firm is building, not maintaining. CreedCap is not in a steady state. It is deliberately expanding its depth, its investor network, and its deal flow. For the right person, joining at the VP level means being part of shaping what the firm becomes — with the accountability, upside, and recognition that come with it.

We have been doing this for 16 years and have worked with many founders along the way. If you want an honest picture of what it is like to work with CreedCap — we will connect you directly with the founders we have advised. Their view matters more than ours.
