Vice President - Commercial Claims - Insurance

About the role:

In the role, the concerned person is expected to manage a well-defined team of experienced claims personnel for client servicing in commercial claim portfolio.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and provide claim-handling direction to team members with respect to investigation, reserving, expense/ vendor management, and loss payment in accordance with Claims Best Practices.

- Cross vertical experiences across different lines of business (Fire/Marine/Engineering etc.)

- Have a thorough understanding of the different financial and technical aspects of the claim

- Conduct periodic review meetings with the team to track critical TATs and discuss monthly targets of claim settlement

- Ensure that all surveyor queries are responded to and intimated to the client

- Liaise with different stakeholders Client, insurance companies, surveyor, as and when required, to ensure an effective closure of claims within defined TATs

- Monitor and report important performance metrics like IRDA data, balance scorecard for claims management, claims settled within an agreed timeframe.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proven experience in claims handling, particularly in Marine, Property, and Energy
• Strong background working in insurance companies or surveyor firms.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and claims processes.
